    do lots of homework. Know all you can about each of the surgeries, what your insurance will allow, what teams are in your area, etc. Go to a support group and talk and listen to those who have had WLS...

    The lapband was not MY choice of surgeries, but health issues made it a quick fix!

    I was banded in January 2010 - only lost about 20 pounds. Dr. has no reason why...I'm at the maximum fill level. At least I haven't gained any though.
