Just helped DH with his last night - mine are organized - but his - now that is another whole long story - but we got so much done last night - unreal... so he is a much happy camper today! He hates tax season, and puts it off till he no longer dares - and then bulldozes his way through the mess... I am going to try to make it simpler for him - I've threatened this for 5 years, and this is the year to make a ledger - it has to be easier than sorting through stacks and stacks of receipts, bills, etc..... He has never been a good manager in the receipts end of things! So, a little sweet nudge here and there makes it go much smoother. :)

My husband is an account so he gets our taxes done before he get busy at work aroung mid Feb. Therefore, over the years what I have learned to do is get an envolope mark it tax stuff. Durning the year when we pay for things may be tax deductable I put the the receipt with a copy of the check in that envolope. In january when we start geting end of year statements and total earnings stubs I stick them in the envlope. When my DH asked me for our tax docuctment I just hand him the envelope. He thinks I am so organized that can find all that stuff so fast LOL
