Each year I have every good intentions to start earlier, and I do start earlier, but then I end up later than the previous year. You should see my dining room table right now.

Swore I was going to do my taxes right away this year. But, here it is the end of March and I haven't even started them. Good think I have Turbo Tax, it shouldn't take too long once I actually force myself to do them.

I used to have a small tax practice in PA for about 10 or so years. I hated every minute doing someone else's taxes let alone my own. Now I don't work as an accoutant but have to work about 50 hours per week. Last week I did my 50 hours plus my 2 son's taxes, ex-hubby, mine, a friend's and her mother's. I am taxed out!!!

I think that's what DH's philosophy is. I don't know why he insists on leaving it until the last minute!
Drives my "What would happen if...." adage through the roof, and at our age...70+ he doesn't seem to care. I finally brought the question up this morning and naturally I'm "nagging" again!
(Don't suggest that I do it...I could, but he'd be looking over my shoulder every step of the way with that "Are you sure you ....", "Why are you doing that!"

;) ;-)

Our daughter usually does ours (she's a CPA) but this year I e-filed them on the IRS site. Easy. I kind of enjoyed it, it was almost like being back at work.

I just finished mind. I find it easier if I organize along the way in a spreadsheet my expenses. So much easier for me.
