Darlene, I would hustle right on over to that re-sale shop and grab it up if it is the right price and in good shape!! It would work perfectly in my very small sewing room!

Yup I do watch this and the others mentioned here as well. Dave is a real jerk though. But on the cabinet, I have seen 2 of them on Craigs list in about the last 6mos. I would have jumped on either of them, but....I do not have the room for one. One even included the sewing machine!!

I like Auction Hunters, occasionly watch Storage Wars. I enjoy the "finds" but often think of the poor people that didnt pay the rent and lost their possessions. Many times with valuable items stored, I wonder why they didnt sell the items to pay the rent.
One time there was a box filled with a coin collection, easily converted to cash.

oh I LOVE that show - since we got a DVR with DISH, we can record ANYtime and do! Barry seems to know everyone in the music business, and was wondering something about him - WOW - it took me to "what are these bidders worth" My my my - Barry can buy and sell ALL the others including the irritating YUUUUUUUUUUUUUP person! That sewing cabinet was wonderful! The Texas one - not so great - the podiatrist sounds like Barry and was wondering why the guy who lives in New York goes all the way to Texas for these auctions??? It is great entertainment!

I manage a storage facility, and am the auctioneer for our sale units. Storage Wars has been an amazing boost to our sale prices!
Before the show, we would get anywhere from $5 to $200 for a unit. Now, a 10x10 that's full will bring as high as $1500... from folks that are sure that they are going to find that elusive treasure that's valued at $20K. It's almost kind of sad, really, since most folks that have anything of value pay for their units!
Those "treasure" units are few and far between, and SW doesn't show all of the units these guys buy that they loose money on. Not only that, but I'd go to a few of these auctions myself if I had the resources that these guys have for researching value!
I love watching the show tho, and would love to have those guys show up at one of our auctions!! Would show my own "Dave", "Barry", and wussernames a thing or two!

We watch that channel almost religiously, I like all the hunt ones with the antiques and unique finds. DH also likes the Axe Men, Swamp Hunters, Ice Road Truckers, man, you could spend ALL your time watching them. I was watching one that I cannot think of the title, but they paid a guy $1500 to go through this old Lace Factory and they could have anything they wanted out of it except a couple of items that were iconic to the town, like the bell in the bell tower. They came accross a room with a bunch of machines in it and just passed it by. He said he was reminded of the time he bought a room full of machines and couldn't give them away. That statement caught my attention. I guess he didn't know enough to post them here on the QB! LOL
