It is so much fun, very challenging and a great cheap/free outdoor activity! A wonderful way to go to new places that you might not other wise visit and a awesome way to get exercise!

My girls and I love it! I downloaded the freebie app to my iphone, had so much fun that I paid the $10 and got the delux app. I like the iPhone app better than my little GPS. My two girls love doing this, they are 6 and 4. They especially love the GCs with little treasures to trade in them! I spend time on geocaching.com. Great way to find GCs in your neighborhood!

We do geo-caching when we travel so it takes longer to go from place to place but it is a lot of fun. Always keep a bag of trinkets to exchange with what has been left by others. Not all geo-caches have the trade items but its fun if they do--plus the logs to write in. We visited Fons & Porter Quilt Shop in Winterset, Iowa and saw there were geo-caches all around the area. One was in the maze in the park.Ground crews were redoing the area and I'm sure they wondered why we kept going through the maze and looking in all the corners and under hedges. It seems they had "cleaned" all the brush and trash from the maze already so the cache was gone. All was not lost however--there were other caches and the covered bridges were wonderful.

You can even buy (or sometimes win in a drawing) tags
in which you can attach to something. These are called
travel bugs and they get picked up from one geocache box
and put into another box some place else.
I have a travel bug that is going around the world. It
has been on the "move" since October 9, 2004. It has
traveled about 23,621 miles, and is currently in Prešovský
kraj, Slovakia.
The following link is to MY travel bug:

Here is the website for geocaching if anyone is interested
learning more about it.
