When I feel the urge to exercise, I take a nap. Regular walking is my exercise plan due to my age. As a kid, I still didn't like exercise.

I have a great home gym, matches the local YMCA. Lucky me. I love to excercise. I have it right next to my shop and work out everyday before i go into work. I also have a terrible back and am thankful that I can walk and lift weights. I also spend alot of time in prayer and listening to praise music. the time just flies by. My DH thinks I'm crazy. I've tried Ipods, books on tape, watching tv, watching others (sometime entertaining) but I truly really do not like exercising at all. :P :P :P :P :P :P
What do you do to make exercising nothing to dread?
I've started going to Curves. Everyone is so friendly and at my age it is the type of exercise my body can handle. My strength, energy level and balance have improved plus a slight loss of weight and inches.

Can you get a good friend to join you at the gym? You will have fun chatting and visiting, and you will make the commitment to meet there, plus a buddy is a great distraction (especially if they are a quilter!)

Water aerobics is the way to go! You don't sweat and most of your body is underwater so nobody can see if you are doing it wrong. Love it.

I walk every morning very early with my hubby, We usually try to take a little bit different route but we always try to do 3 miles each day. In the winter I get on my tread mill and "CRANK" up the tunes. I hate exercising too, but I have a history in my family of high cholesterol and high tryglicerides... so I keep at it and hopefully I can get off my meds. I'm not overweight, I just hate being on medication.
