What does Thunderbird do and why do you like it ? Just curious, not being critical! I like the Google products a lot!

I had IE8 for a short time and it caused my computer to crash three times. I uninstalled it and installed Google Chrome and have been using it for over a year now. No problems at all. And, not only can I bookmark favorites, I have a few different lists I can send them to to keep track. Too many problems w/ IE, and many of my work programs aren't supported by it, so I stick w/ Chrome both at work and at home.

Thunderbird is a free email program, like Outlook. It's made by Mozilla, the same people who do Firefox.

Funny you should ask. I used Chrome for the first time about 1/2 hour ago to sign on to the board, and dumped it immediately. It looked different, I didn't have all the links at the top (missing search, user search, etc) plus there were far more ad's and in annoying places than I get on either Firefox (my preference) or IE (which I use at work).

I might spend more time with Chrome and see if I can set preferences, but so far not impressed.

Thanks! I don't send a lot of mail and use gmail from Google. It works just fine.

Will have to try Thunderbird, though.

Are you saying there is not a "favorites" or a "bookmarks" button on Google Chrome?
Have been using Chrome for a couple of years ... Internet Explorer is just soooo sloooowww ... Chrome has worked very well, am very happy with it.

You can definitely bookmark in Chrome, and import any of your existing bookmarks/favourites. Click on the 'wrench' icon to get to the tools to manage Chrome.

I find that iGoogle has really slowed my machine down so I can barely use my IE browser, I haven't tried Chrome yet but I have started using Firefox a lot and its definitely faster.
