Are you really "living" when your stuff suffocates you, your house, and your family?

    April,
That's the part about this show I didn't understand. She didn't give it up. She sent it on to another "Quilts of Valor" chapter to finish and send off. That should have made her feel very good - but it didn't seem to...

M.I.Late - we're living with the same husband! My MIL passed away 14 years ago. That's 14 years of no garage cause it's full of her stuff. The house itself wasn't too bad as long as the kids were home, but lately his inability to let go of his treasures is drowning us. He's retiring at the end of this school year and says he's going to take care of all this, but I'm afraid he'll just have time to add to the collection. Fishing gear - but he never goes fishing. Tools - but he never works on anything. Model trains, AV equipment - plus all the things from his mother's house. A constant burden indeed.

I don't see that she was a hoarder. I feel she lacked organizational skills because the rest of the house was fine. Plus she was able to let go of stuff pretty easy. I felt sorry for the husdand, he seemed so sad. I would love to have that garage to work in.
