I got the diet on Amazon, after seeing it on Dr. Phil. I really like it. It is doable and I am NOT hungry. By the way, my sugars are already lower. I didn't think that would happen. Maybe because of no junk. (smile)

Thank you for welcoming back this oldie (but I'm going to be a goodie). Already with your encouragement I was able to resist temptation yesterday at work. Since the Pharmaceutical reps aren't allowed to give away pens, pads, bags, etc, they bring in food. Yesterday they brought in warm sticky buns, choc covered pretzels, and cookies and a patient brought in Pistachio cake. Guess who didn't eat ANY of the goodies!!!! ME!!!! I know it was only one day but I felt accountable to all of you and it helped me stick with water and a 100 calorie snack midmorning. Had tuna and fresh fruit for lunch and toast for supper. Okay, only 29 more days to go and hopefully 8-10 pounds gone.
Keep kicking my ass ladies-if this doesn't work, break out the duct tape and tape my mouth shut.

Jan, if I kick in your direction, it will be for not eating enough. If you put your body in starvation mode, it will shut down losing weight so you don't starve. Try 10 calories for each pound of desired weight. I want to weigh 138, so I can have 1380 calories a day and lose a healthy amount of weight. Where are your veggies? BTW, congrats on resisting those yummy sound treats.

I do not want to kicked unless I whine. Just the way I am.

My new commitment - eat my carbs in the first half of the day and nothing after 8:00 pm. It has worked for me in the past. I have a silly song runny through my head that reminds me to keep on track.

MJ, you extend your kindness to each of us every day with your lovely smile and encouraging words, plus your perseverance in the face of some serious health problems. You go, girl.

Hopefully it's not too late to join. I'm a newbie here and just saw this. I've been avoiding looking at the scale but I'll go weigh myself and write it down. I look forward to all the suggestions and support here.

@Jolly: You can do it. Hang in there. Losing weight is not easy so try to push through your cravings or eat just enough very slowly so the craving will pass. If that fails then call someone sort of like AA members do when they are struggling. I don't know you but I am rooting for you. Woot! Woot!

OK ladies, pull yourself up, brush yourself off......we will wait since it will take longer for some of you to brush off since you got so fat there is more to brush. Lets start this month with the most amount of weight lost so far. It can be done. The weather is getting warmer, go out enjoy the fresh air. Take a walk, do some gardening, move those fat butts and get healthy.

I usually take my measurement at the beginning of the month so even if you can not see the weight change in lb you can see it in inches.
