I think aprons are pretty but never seem to wear one when I"m cooking. I have one hanging up as a decoration in the kitchen. Lol

I wear aprons. Have made several different patterns. An easy one is a chef's apron edged with bias tape. You can put pockets if wanted. I make them out of white/neutral duck or décor fabric. I then have my grandchildren decorate them with Sharpies/glitter glue. Heat set the designs. I still have one that two granddaughters decorated when they were 4 and 6; They are now 14 and 16. It is a bit faded but loved.

I need to check out the patterns for aprons also. The dreaded bacon grease. But if I put a dab of dish soap(Dawn) on it right away, it helps remove the bacon grease in the laundry.

I like to make aprons out ot fancy kitchen towels. Fold in the corners, add ties for the neck and waist and decorate. I like mine and have given many of gifts.

I don't wear aprons myself but I do make them for everyone. The first one is one I made all the little granddaughters for Christmas. The second one I made for my daughter, it is machine embroidered and quilted. The bottom is actually a blue and white check kitchen towel.

I love to wear aprons and have several that I have made over the years. My favorite style is one from the 20's a work apron with straps that cross in the back and no ties.

I have a few of what I call Butcher's Aprons and wear them anytime I'm working in the kitchen. I prefer not to have a gathered apron as I don't like the "poof" look
