I love aprons and use them all the time...I made several for my daughter and myself. I used cotton dish towels..Jenny Doan's pattern...

I always wear an apron, cooking and eating, saves a lot of shirts, lol! I was looking for a cute retro apron I sewed but I can't find the picture of it. I did find a link to this cute one I want to sew:

There is a great tutorial by Jenny Doan on Missouristarquiltcompany.com that shows how to make an apron from a tea towel. I have made several of these and they all turned out great.

I don't wear an apron and some of my shirts hit the "you're out of here bin" because of it.
I do have an apron wall in the kitchen... it's a busy spot.
I do make aprons for gifts all the time.

I seldom wear an apron at home but when I taught pre-K I wore one everyday. Sure saved my clothes! I eventually had enough that I customized them for units we were doing, holidays, and seasons. The one requirement - each had to have pockets!

What a great idea! Maybe then I won't be picking threads off at church!
