Hi everyone, we left Cottonwood AZ on the 26th of May and came up to the White Mountains in eastern AZ. A wild fire broke out called the Wallar Fire in Arizona. Near the small community of Alpine AZ. It has burned 165,000 acres and 100 percent Not contained. There is 1300 firefighters on the scene. We are in are summer trailer just about 40 miles west of the fire and the we have some smoke in our area just this morning. The fire started about 5 days ago. I heard campers built a camp fire and then went for a hike. I don't know if this is true but God save them if it is true. They have evacuated the small town of Alpine and Greer and Springerville north will be next. The high winds we are having has not helped the the fighting. it seems each state in the US has had to deal with bad weather issues. I cannot get on wifi very often because the signal is not strong sometimes. Miss all of you daily. We are 3 miles East of a town called Pinetop. I'll keep you posted. Suzanne

I lived in Tucson when there were fires, my sewing machine kept squeaking, clean out our bobbin area with a q tip, the fire was 35 miles away but the ash carried!
