I am going to make curtains to cover the french door in my kitchen. I dont want to make holes in the door, is it tacky to use velcro? has anyone done this and how to i attach it so we can open and close it easily?

Or can I velcro a rod onto the door?

Is your door by chance a metal core door. If so, you can use a magnetic rod. I used one on our backdoor (french door) in our former house. Like you, I didn't want to damage the door using a regular rod.

my door isnt metal.

The corner hook may work. I was hoping to add two small rods to each side of the window so they can still open without having to open the curtain. Like on each side of the glass.

I like it, I thought you were talking sheer panels..lol You can get those brackets I linked so they fit over the door casing too, not just on the door. But for a heavy panel like those shown at JCP conventional rod hangers might have to be installed.

wow it seems cheaper to have them pre made, i could just sew a bottom to em for color..
