Scentsy is like a candle but not. You have a holder that is lit by a light bulb and then you put a bar of wax on top. The wax is melted by the heat of the light bulb and its scent wafts through the house. One nice thing is Scentsy's was doesn't burn you if you accidentally touch it or it spills on you. You can get knock offs, but they are not as good as Scentsy.

Disclaimer: I do not sell Scentsy, I only use the product.

Scentsy is wickless, flameless candles. You have a warmer and get to buy fragance bars. Yes it is true that the wax will not burn you. It is safe for all and no worries of fires. I have 3 burning in my apartment now and love the scent.

I will try to post a picture of one of the warmers.

    Cindy

ps. PM me if you would like me to send you a catalog.

Scentsy sounds wonderful to me right now. Last Friday my son was here for lunch and the candle is living room flared up quite high while we eating in the dining room. We thought it was just the match I'd dropped accidentally in burning the last of the wax. Not! Neither of us moved, we knew it would burn out and it was in a glass holder. When I went to put in a new candle, I discovered the table had a real hole burned in it. It was my pretty pieced oak game table that was burning. Thank goodness it went out on its own, but now I have a burned spot on my table.

MJ, my furgirls are rescues, too. The beautiful Lily was found in a dumpster behind McDonald's in below zero January weather when she a year old. She was adopted from that shelter and I found her again in our shelter a year and half later. Little Moira was found in a cemetary weighing 13.2 pounds. She now weighs 34.4 and is still lean. She was not a pup, just starving. The shelter gave her to me as they thought she wouldn't last the day.

I'm doing good eating this week and remembering to do my TV exercises, but the weight hasn't moved. G-r-r. Nothing I can do except keep it up.

Sounds great, but because of allergies I can no longer use scented candles or sprays, or wear perfume.

I won't debate the raw with you. We need raw veggies (some are healthier cooked) and fruit for enyzmes, but most things are just better cooked. My dogs eat raw meat, but I want mine cooked. I will not be sharing their dinner of raw turkey legs, raw chicken liver and some raw ground venison for Lily because she needs more food than Moira. Can't imagine eating raw wheatberries instead of a piece of bread. Or millet in my case. No wheat in any form.

I'm glad you had back up AC. August is no time to be without it in that area.

I am losing weight and getting healthier.

I agree,I come to that conclusion too last night. After all the research I been doing the past few weeks. We need both.

Congrats to all those who are loosing. Nancia just think how many pounds you will be down when you weigh without holding Olivia! lol

I haven't weighed for a couple of days - think I won't weigh again until I need to weigh to start Sept. That way I won't be fixating on my weight. I'm trying to keep my calories down but when I have a hypoglycemic episode and have to eat sugary junk to get the levels yp so do the calories. I have good intentions regarding exercise but am so tired that I just can't seem to get motivated.

Well Have a nice day everyone. God Bless!
I have had hypo since I was in the third grade, lets just say I graduated high school over twenty years ago. I have always eaten proteins. If I ate sugary items it would make things worse and start me shaking violently and heart racing, sweating and such. My doctor now however believes I am starting to show signs of swinging into diabetes. Because now when I get that feeling coming on, it is a little different and I have to eat something with sugar to control it, now that scares me! So after my pancreatis and gall bladder removal and put on rocor to bring down my cholesterol and my doc says all I have t do is lose fifty pounds, yea easier said then done!

    Good morning y'all!

I have been thinking of each of you in your struggles and ups and downs. Thank you each for your prayers and notes of encouragement.

We didn't do the doc visit this week,, I rescheduled for next week.

My INR was 2.7, the best it has been in almost 3 months, which was a wonderful thing.

I purchased the Special K protein drinks to try this week. I can only drink 1 a day, due to the coumadin and INR, but I think this will start my day better. I have such a problem with nausea that food in the morning is not a pretty sight. Then I don't take my insulin shot until well into the day, even though I get up at 3 am. It certainly gives me a skewed picture of my diabetes.

I will walk today, I am determined. I don't know where or when, but I will not spend today "in my chair."

Journal: What am I doing today that contributes to my happiness? What am I doing that I consider "a chore"? Can I eliminate the "chore"?

Motivation: Take 2 extra steps today. I don't mean literal steps-although you can do that too...I mean take 2 moves that are above and beyond...See what it does for you!

    I WILL QUILT TODAY.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and concerns. It has helped me so much to have the support of my friends on this thread. I am so grateful I found all of you.

DGS comes home from a trip to CA this afterrnoon. I'm so glad it has seemed to quiet areound here with him gone. I've talked to him twice and he sounds depressed. I get the feeling the trip didn't turn out to be what he was hoping for.

I still haven't weighed my self - I really think I'm going to wait until the first of nexr month, it's so close now anyway.

My brain is not functioning again - what type of FQ are we supposed to send the winner? I might just as well start looking now because I know the winner is not going to be me!

Have a good day everyone. Think Positive and take One Day at a Time! God Bless everyone.
