I have some old wooden boxes that I've been using for my farmers market display and I need to spiff up the shelves a bit. I was thinking of using some craft papers and mod podge - but I've never actually used that stuff yet. I'm wondering if it will work on these old boxes - even when "clean" some of them still have decades of dirt and even some oils. Would mod podge stick?

that stuff don;t like oil ....might need a sealer first ....

Clean them first maybe with a wire brush or such.

If you sand the wood to scuff it up a bit, it should stick just fine. I've done modge podge a few times and never had any issues.
