My daughter contacted the manufacturer and they told her to cut the strap off and send it to them and throw the rest away. They offered her a choice of 4 items as a replacement since I just sent her one (Mei Tai carrier) I made this past weekend.

My daughter HATED the sling. I am thankful! My new Mommy heart cries to hear a precious baby could be harmed. :(

OH My. Thanks for the warning. My GD has bought one for her baby thats due in May. New mothers that she knows had told her that these are great to have.

nope not at all. there is many different baby slings out there though ;)>. tell her to cut off tag and send back to manufacture they are giving away others things as a replacement.
