Baby goat died
#23
Thank you for all your kind words. His mother rejected him so I took over with the round the clock feedings. We kept him in a dog crate next to the woodstove with oodles of blankets. He injured his leg in the crate door so we took the door off of it. Then he got pneumonia and had several shots for that. FINALLY he started gaining weight and height and got a good activity level. He followed me everywhere! Often times too much-always tripping over him. As I said, he was potty trained so that was great-only took him three days to learn where to go. I had just recently put him full-time with the others (before it was several hrs at a time)to learn how to be a goat.

I'm so sorry. It's so easy to fall in love with an animal, especially when it needs you so. Poor little thing - he tried as hard as you did, but I guess God needed him too. Do you know what went wrong? Sometimes knowing makes it a little easier to handle.
I have a feeling something else will come along for you to love and take care of. Here's a great big HUG.
