Youngest son was allergic to all the formulas...we had to drive to a dairy and get ENZLAC. Sorry can't remember the correct spelling...it's been 28 years. It was a ultra pasturized goat milk formula. We had to get 2 weeks worth at a time, due to spoilage. I remember that it was almost $2 a quart back in '83.

My 2nd son has a severe dairy allergy and was able to nurse after I removed all dairy from my diet. However, he still spit up what seemed like more than he was taking in. Every feeding. But he was fine medically and was gaining well, even though it was hard to believe that any stayed in him at all. If your baby is gaining well, just be patient (I know it's hard). And keep lots of burp cloths on hand. I don't think I was ever without one in all my waking hours with my son.
As others have mentioned, allergy testing could be a very good idea. Dairy and soy are among the top 8 allergens.

I had the same problem with oldest son (now 49) Finally had to put him on reg whole milk from grocery store.(Not raw Milk). He still vomited at times but not nearly as frequently. However keep on those doctors.Get second opinions. A retired nurse speaking here. Good luck.

He's fussy, but not crying all the time, he grunts, so I know his tummy has to hurt. I dont' know what to do for him. I called the pediatrician back on friday and he said to give this new formula (similac alimentum) another week, we have another appointment scheduled for Friday. They keep telling me he may just have to grow out of it. Can that be right? He's not really gaining weight like he should be even. I'm scared and exhausted. I just want my baby to be well and happy.
any ideas? suggestions? anything???
thanks!!!

Try giving your baby a few drops of Mylanta infant gas drops before feeding him the bottle. (there is another brand as well but it is not coming to mind) And if after they have drinkin the bottle and are still gassy I gave another drop or two of the drops. You can find the infant gas drops in the pharmacy aisle with other gas relief stuff like rolaids, tums etc..or ask your pharmacist. My kids lived on this stuff and I had no more projectile vomiting or gassy tummies. And believe me my first born he could hit a wall across the room before I gave the infant gas relief drops a try. I feel your pain...hope it works for ya!

I have 4 healthy men now and we did the same for the grandbabies when they came along. After the third night of crying, I showed my DIL's how to mix a little cereal in the milk in their bottle and then progressed to feeding from a spoon runny cereal. My newest great GD is getting the same thing.
OP -- yes, time to find another doctor!
