Low 20's here today, dull, windy, overcast, threatening rain at any moment.

Quite a change from last week when it was 33, hot & humid.

Looks like Fall, then Winter   is just around the corner.

I hate the cold - time for me to hybernate but at least I'll get a lot of quilting done :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

When we lived in St. Louis, the weather would drive you crazy. You could go from hot to snow in one day, and some days, you did. It was no wonder people are sick so much there. We stuck it out until my younger son finished high school and my dh could retire, then moved down to Florida.

I had to laugh when people kept asking how we would stand the heat and humidity. Really? Watch the weather channel and see where the heat and humidity is worse...St. Louis or Ft. Myers, Fl. Yes, we do get cold weather, but I think the coldest I have seen it since I have been here in 93 was 19 degrees. The longest I ever ran my heat was one week. I do own a heavy coat. It is hanging up in St. Louis, lol.

Right now it is 78 degrees here in Lakeland but that is due to a recent rain we just had. It was about 90 degrees before it started. I had 1 more minute before I was finished with crossing guard duty when it started to rain. I got a little wet running to the house. ( My crossing area is very close to my house so I walk to work.)

A little overcast, warm breeze, what I like to call kite flying weather. Anyone want to join me?

It was in the 50's here last nite (North AL) and today it has been the D's - damp, dreary, dismal, but we are thrilled to have received almost 5 inches of rain after a long dry spell. Sure wish Okla and Texas had some of this as they need rain so bad.
