i have a lovely yellow oblong one on my microwave and a yellow round one with points all around on my velvet Antique chair, plus more. I thought i'd hate them because my Mother always had them around. Found out, i love them and all the work that goes into them!

Don't be too harsh on people, sometimes we discard our own hard work if we're tired of it, or want to "modernize". Nice find!

My, oh, my! They are gorgeous!!! My Mom crocheted a lot but nothing this big. Some of the things I have of hers, I tell her she did them, she said "I sure don't remember!". Wonderful things that she made for me to pass on....l

Great find, I cannot resist handwork rescues. Instead of a frame you might want to make a fabric wallhanging. Gently tack the crochet work to a background fabric and then proceed as if making a regular wall quilt. I know some people make pillows with these but I think that's too rough usage for old needlework. I have a glass working friend who mounted small doilies between two pieces of colored glass and added a chain for hanging. Lovely in a window.

Those are beautiful. I have at least 50 of my great grandmothers, they are all white with pink edgings or pink with white edgings. She was from Sicily and spoke no English so crocheted all day while watching tv..
