    what a wonderful, heartwarming story.
Just so happy to help out a bit, and that made the day or year
for those kids. a little bit of kindness went so far for those kids.
and I bet the parents were speechless from the kindness too.
    great Christmas story.

of the best Christmases in years.
We were not able to go visit in person, but keep in touch
    by phone often.
My niece and a friend Melissa live near by my mother and
    help watch out for her.
They took some gifts to her and told her about a poor
family they were taking some gifts to, bc the children didn't
    even have a Christmas tree!
My mother was already going along for lunch and said she
would like to give the children something also.
She had made some medium sized pillows and just happened
    to have two pillowcases,
one for a boy and one for a girl: perfect!
She didn't know that these kids lived just down the road.
The children didn't know they were having visitors.
Melissa is a very sweet, caring person and gifted the little boy
with a Nintendo. He was over the moon!
The little girl had wished for some charter books, bc even at 6
years old, she is very bright and loves to read.
There were some other smaller things and my mother gifted
them with her self made pillows and cases.
    These children were ecstatic!
They didn't own pillows to sleep on
    They hugged everybody five times.
My mother said, "This is what Christmas is all about."
My mom, my niece and Melissa went about the rest of their day
and had a wonderful time at lunch and played games at my
    mom's house later.
She said it was a Christmas to remember and she slept last night
better than she had in a good while.
A good story shared, spreads the warm and fuzzies.
I wasn't there, but I was blessed by the sharing.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too.
God bless, charity is one of His greatest commandments

Loved your story. As much as every child needs or wants a toy for christmas, pillows and cases and nice warm P.J.s are always loved and treasured by kids that are in need and they last longer. I make hats and mittens and send them to a place.Yes give at least one toy by all means but I think TOOO much attention on toys toys toys. I just saw on the news about a lady that collects new pj's every year and distributes them to kids on foster care and they love them..
