I've had a double masectomy and used Mederma on the incisions starting 3 days after sugery. Unless you look closely you can barely see the scars. and I scar badly. It is rather expensive, you have to use it 3 times a day but well worth it.

You can pop and onion in the freezer. After it has frozen solid, remove and let it thaw. (this will help with the onion smell) puree the onion in a food processor, drain the excess water. Apply a thin layer of the puree to the area 3x's a day. Mederma is onion extract and some base oil

Mederma worked for my scar on my leg, but when I had my neck surgery, it gave me a horrible rash. I used vitamin E oil after that. So annoying.
