If you were to tell someone what was the best time of year to visit the state you call home, when would it be? And why?

Illinois is beautiful in the spring. We have lots of flowering trees and such. Many towns have streets lined with dogwoods, red buds, and ornamental pears. Everything is green and beautiful. The temperatures are generally nice.

In the summer, it can be very hot. Our fileds are full of corn and soybeans. The rolling hills of fields are lovely.

When fall comes, we have leaves of every color. Mums are everywhere.

In the winter, it's depressing. Not much snow. Just gray skies and dead plants.

I think the best time to visit CT is in the Fall. The tree have closed there windows and the leaves are changing colors. the air is clear. You can wear a warm jacket and be comfortable.

I would say spring and fall. Spring because it's when everything is waking up and the colors start coming out and the rains give a good soaking and cleaning. In the fall all the trees start showing the georgious fall colors. Summer is too hot and muggy. Winter is beautiful when it snows and the sun is bright in the sky but it's bitterly cold just the way I like it.

Spring and fall are the best in the lower Michigan. Summer in upper Michigan. Winter isn't bad if you like to snow ski, snow board, and ice fishing.

Missouri always has things going on throughout the year. I like the spring and the fall. We have lots of craft/quilt shows in the fall. Living close to Branson is great, only 35 minutes and it is a straight shot down there. Lots of great shopping plus Quilts and Quilts is a must see shop. Lots and lots of fabrics and friendly people, patterns, and quilts.

Wash. DC is always beautiful. Hot,in the summer, cold in the winter, gorgeous in spring, Cherry Blossoms, and Fall leaves. Tourists generally come in the summer as there are more things open for them.

If you're visiting South Florida, I'd say to come in April or December. It's still warm but not stifling. Most winters are also mild, but the past few years we've had some pretty cold temps. We don't mind them much because they rarely last longer than a week. But if that's your week to vacation, you're out of luck.
