just tell your self that if you mess up when cutting you can always turn the fabric into material for another quilt and try again. that helps me at least to get started. also it may change the pattern a bit but i find that mostly everything is fixable. some of my mistakes have turned out to be my better work

My take on the Bog Coat was that it has been made out of all sorts of materials for thousands of years. I made one, it was very simple, large pieces of fabric. I don't know about the Beyond the Bog Quilt...

Weavers just hate to cut up their fabric, so there are all sorts of patterns that have been developed over time to make things by using rectangles. I have a lovely blouse one made of 3 rectangles that are sewn together, that is elegant !!!!
