Too bad you don't have a dugout place to store veggies that would hold precious small pieces of furniture and quilts and machines.

It looks like they got the lower parts of the fire, where there are people's houses and barns, under control and mostly out overnight. According to reports, no structures were burned, so thats a relief. We have a lot of friends living on that side of the valley, up in the pinion pines.
The fire looks to be mostly burning now up in a couple of canyons halfway up the mountains.
The location is the Pinenut mountains on the west side of Smith Valley, Nevada.
