big girl panty purse
Posted this earlier and it never posted. I know there is a blog for this pattern and I have printed the entire thing out, worked on this for a month now and totally don't get it and not ruining anymore fabric and zippers. My question is, has anyone actually made a video and talks you through the process. That would be worth it's weight in gold. It is just the cutest little coin purse but can't get it to work.
Thanks for any help

Panty purse zipper
I tried to find the post on difficulty figuring out the zipper in the Panty Purse tutorial posted by Debbie in QB tutorials. It must be in the non man's land of missing past posts. The first picture is how I prepare the focus fabric for my panties. I trace around my pattern, lay it on top of my batt, pin on the lace and stitch 1/8 inside the line around the panties. I cut out following the line.

This picture is of the zipper pinned along the edge with the lining on top. I have it ready to sew along the pinned edges and the zipper will be sandwiched between the focus fabric outside and the white lining layer. It is perched open on top of my machine so you can hopefully see what I mean. Of course the pieces are pushed to one side when it goes under your needle so you sew one side at a time which the picture shows in Debbie's tutorial. Hope this gets you on your way to panty purse success.
