lovetosew....we are not too far from each other. We should meet for lunch one day---not during the blizzard though!!!

We're getting mostly freezing rain here. We were supposed to get up to 10 inches of snow but sounds like we'll only get a couple now. I would rather have the 10 inches of snow than 1/2 inch of ice.

Actually I am going to be going to the quilt shop in Bourbonnais on Main St. and LaGrange to drop off a quilt soon. Maybe we could meet up sometime then.

it is awfully cold here and all four of us are sick. not fun. wish I felt better so that I can sit at my machine and work. two little ones and a hubby sick as well as me. and a snow storm to boot... lets just say that things are not fun here. looks like we have 10 in already. I am near the KC area of Missouri. I wish I was in Maui.

I live in Springfield, MO, and the news just announced that westbound 44 is closed at the 69 mile marker. We had ice/sleet for about an inch, then 3 inches of sleet/snow and then the rest is snow so far. The last time our area was under a Blizzard Warning was when the pioneers crossed the plains. Now the winds are whipping 25-45mph, creating drifts. Now we have the dangerous wind chills. I am so grateful that to be retired where I can stay home and sew.

I live on the PA border between Binghamton and Corning and we got about 6 inches today and that's the first real snow we have had all winter. Maybe two inches on the ground before today. We are supposed to get socked tonight and tomorrow with another 12" or so. Can't stay home and quilt tomorrow. Work in a pharmacy and have to be open for sick people and nursing homes.
