bluebird nest thief--Not my cat
#11
This is our first year putting up a bluebird house. The first nest belonged to a wren so we got rid of it (no eggs). The next day a pair of bluebirds took up residence. She laid four eggs but we only have two that have hatched. It's been a fun process!

I have 8 birdhouses up and around our property. We have had bluebirds, nuthatches, wrens, kingbirds, chickadees, Rosy finches, titmouse,to name a few. I love all of them. The wrens have such a beautiful song, so far I haven't seen them doing anything to the other nests. The finches have nested in my flower baskets and in our small decorative trees. Our neighbor had bluebird and there was a snake in hers that ate the bluebird eggs. She opened the box to check on them and out came a bullsnake. Yikes.
