Just one more moan about the password thing....

i DO remember my password, I've been away for the last four days and logged in from a friend's computer just fine, with my password. So when I couldn't get into the new site, it wasn't that I'd forgotten my password, it was that the new site wouldn't allow my password.

I've followed the link and got a new one loaded, but just wanted you to know that in case it's important.

i also had to use the "forgotten" password link. as soon as i got into the new board with that i went straight to my profile. i ignored the fact that my old password was still in my new profile and just "updated" my new profile with my old password. it now works just fine.

That's strange. Could you please try logging in with the same password?

    http://www2.quiltingboard.com/login.jsp

And if it doesn't work, please do a recovery:

    http://www2.quiltingboard.com/recover_password.jsp

Once you get the e-mail, click on the link for auto-login (at the end of the e-mail) and then change the password to the correct one.

Please let me know what happens.

Change is always difficult for me, but I WILL adjust. Just as I learned how to do this board in the "old" format, I will adapt to the new format because I really like the board!

I would LOVE a spell check feature if available, because my fingers and brain are not always in sync.

    I like the new board.

A couple of things for me-

I am not crazy about the signature being all the way to the right. As a quilter things need to be in balance and this feels and looks out of balance to me. Asymetrical instead of symmetrical. Just me probably.

I have a question. In pms is it possible to put a search? I have to hunt for old pms with addresses alot and it is hard to do. I save all my pms because I never know when I need to go back and look something up that someone said. Even if I could narrow it down to all the pms by one person it would help alot. If noone else would need this don't worry about it.

I tweaked some things, and the old passwords should be working now.

Please let me know if the old password doesn't work for you and you are sure that you remember it correctly.

What you can do is search in the browser once you open the listing of messages. Ctrl+F. And then search for the person's user name. That will get you to the place on the page with messages from that user.

But I have to say that I'm going to set a limit on pm's. Something around 200 in inbox and the same in the sent box. It's not happening now, but in the near future old messages are going to be automatically deleted.

Actually, it looks like it worked for some passwords, but not for all.

On the new "User List" page, there is no arrow to get past the first page of listings, in order to browse through the listings.
There is a search function now, so you can find any user by typing a part of their name.
