Susan we are the same way about Christmas traditions.

Every year I get the new Hallmark Lionel train Christmas ornaments (usually 3 in the set) and I get something with "A Christmas Story" theme on it. Last year my entire Christmas was centered around the movie and yes I got a Red Ryder BB Gun!! My wife always gets the new Holiday Barbie, and the new Barbie Hallmark Ornaments (can you tell we love Gold Crown Stores  ) so these are staples in our household.

Funny thing is my Dad always gets socks from my cousin every year and its been that way since she was born. She passed away a couple years ago (only 3 years older than me) and my Daughter took up the slack and started giving him his socks. The first year Holly gave him the socks my dad teared up and hugged her like there was no tomorrow. That man never shows emotions for anything.

I hope you get your calender!!!

    Billy

Billy, what a nice post. I love traditions like the socks story. Your daughter sounds like a sweetie.
I have a zillion Hallmark mini ornaments but have scaled back since I now have to decorate 3 trees! But every year I have to have the new Snoopy one :D
Happy New Year, Billy!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your story. :)

LoL, a calender is one gift I always count on from my step mom. It's normally just whatever calendar they've ordered for my dad's business, but she writes everyone's birthdays and anniversaries on it, complete with age or years married. Two years ago she didn't send me one. I couldn't believe it. I was lost all year without it. I just figured she had been too busy to make one out for me. Many, many months later I mentioned it to her and she honestly had thought she sent me one. Oops. :)

Hope you get your calendar! They should be on sale now. :)
