I believe the Nook, similar to the Sony Reader and Kindle, is from Barnes & Noble Book Stores.

I have invested in a Kindle and I love it! I can download books in a matter of seconds! I am reading Glenn Beck's new book, "The Overton Window". Very interesting and kinda freaky with how our govt and world is today. I am also re-reading the Twilight series. Can't wait for the 3rd movie to come out in a couple of weeks. I will be going to the midnight showing!

At present I am reading Catherine Cookson. I get them from the library. I put them on hold, two at a time and just go get them when they email. Her stories say fiction but I don't think they are. She writes about the life of people in england about the time of Queen Victoria. Each story is about one family. Once you start to read you can't put the book down. It's a mystery, a murder, a love story all in one. I have seen nine of the movies made from her books and enjoyed them so much that I want to read the other stories. I get the large prints. Try one.

I just finished Black Hills by Nora Roberts.

I currently have 2 library cards.

One from my old library where I used to live. I can still get e-books from there on my computer, both audio and readable.

The other card I just received from my area library. I think I would like to join a book club. to see what it would be like.

Clare O'Donohue has three quilting books that are great, and don't forget Terri Thayer's three books which I just started!
Then there is the series by the author EVERYONE knows, Jennifer Chiaverini!

If you haven't picked up one of Earlene Fowler's books, you need to do so now!! :D
Maybe you didn't go back far enough. LOL.

I mentioned Emilie Richards and Jennifer Chiaverini, but said I was not familiar with Earlene Fowler.

i volunteer one day a week at our local library. we put donated books on the upstairs shelves and sell them for 50 cents, $1, and $2.50. everything gets bumped down every few weeks and (gasp) finally thrown out because no one wants them. not even hospitals. or no one wants to pay shipping and we can't absorb that cost. as a volunteer, i can help myself to any donated books i want, and i'm a fast reader. i usually return them to sell, but sometimes i pass them on. the friends of the library supports many programs for children, foreign film screenings, and pays for needed modern equipment. a lot of libraries sell used donated books so why buy new ones? and buying from the library helps the community.

I'm always reading, and read fast. Fortunately, I'm not
bothered when I am reading good books over and over and

I also love the Miss Melville series, but have spent almost
10 years hunting for the last one, Miss Melville Runs for
Cover. The author, Elizabeth E. Smith, passed after writing
this and it didn't have much of a sale. But Miss Melville is
a middle aged lady, broke so went to work as a charming
hit lady. She has standards though, and won't whack any
one who doesn't deserve it, and is dismayed at discovering
more and more folks do deserve it!

Charlaine Harris wrote a very interesting series, which she
cut off short and left the heroine in an ugly situation, with
a new, boring boy friend, pregnant when she thought it not
possible, but all of the Aurora Teagarden is an interesting
person in an interesting town. The series is very good, but
then the author quit writing and went on to other stuff, which
    I don't like at all.

Earlene Fowler is a good writer, makes me keep looking for
more of her books. She weaves quilts and murder in interesting
ways, and her characters are very interesting also.

Another one is Sara Graves series. "A Face In The Window"
is one I'm hunting for now. It's called the "Home Repair can
be Murder" series and it does seem like that. Interesting, especially if you, like me, do some wood working around the house.

I like writers who were lawyers , Danielle Steel for easy reading, Nora Roberts, James Patterson, Harlan Coben, Nicholas Sparks and many more. I always watch the newspapers for the listing of new fiction novels. I also belong to our local library, remembering that our tax dollar buys books for us.

Hi all ! I have been reading since I was 3 or 4. I belong to 2 different county libraries and I am an elementary school librarian. I am currently attending Old Dominion University in Virginia via online to get my endorsement in library science.

I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Underneath, and the Red Pyramid.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for students.
