Default Bottle Tree Photos for valleyquiltermo

The other day I posted a couple of pictures of stained glass I have done this past year. That started up a conversation with a board member about mosaic and other glass collections.

These photos were taken at a friend of a friend's place. I use them for inspiration. My hubby uses them to show what I am NOT allowed to do. (seriously just kidding) I am so totally going to mosaic up my yard someday.

short story-- Nancy has been working with bottles and bowling balls for years. I showed her a place near me where we can pick through the dumpster (who doesn't love dumpster diving) and find good color and sizes. We made a day of it and filled the pickup. She built a bottle wall on the lot next to her house. I told her, when most people spend the day with me they just say 'thank you' when I leave. She went above and beyond by building a 'shrine' to our day! lol

the 'pond' was made b/c she got tired of pulling weeds out of the gravel, now all she has to do is sweep- lol

I love all this folk art and that this artist is not afraid of wonderful colors. The pink clap board and tiles along the wall are great. I love places like this with so much to discover. thanks for sharing and please let this person know how much her creativity is appreciated.
    peace
