For years I wanted to publish a newsletter about KARENs. Written by and for KARENs. But I wanted to include everyone with every other spelling. Karin, Karon, Karren, Caron, Caren, Carin.

I'm now thinking about writing a blog for us. Please tell me the spelling of your name or the spelling of your friend's name. I want to include every spelling imaginable.

When I go to the doctor's office, I say Karen. They always ask me with a K or a C. I always thought it would be assumed with a K.

I've known a few people named Karyn.

I had a friend, Karin, born in Germany, where it was pronounced CAR-in (like the car you drive).

My name is Karen but no-one outside of the family and close friends ever pronounces it properly. Its pronounced Care-ren. It was a name my Dad chose. My old head mistress at school always pronounced it Car-ren...and Dad used to correct her ...very embarrassing ! lol

    I'm just plain ol' Karen.
Never knew another till my brother married one. That was fun....two of us with the same first and last name, living 5 miles apart....except she was Mrs and I was still a Miss. People were always getting our mail etc confused.
Now that I'm divorced and have taken my maiden name back the confusion has started again.

My daughter--age 29---is a Karen. Basic spelling and pronunciation since nobody has ever been able to spell my name....Gave both of the kids names with obvious and traditional spellings.
