Can anybody tell me WHEN kids start to act mature?

But seriously? Probably not until one of them leaves home. At least. But I think it could be worse. There is nothing so venomous as a teenage girl fight. My sister and I got along fine most of the time, but when things blew up, they BLEW UP.

I only have 2 kids so when they were young I used odd/even dates.
DS chose to the odd days (because he figured out there are more of them) DD was shotgun on even days. It didn't matter how many errands we ran on the day, if it was their day - they got shotgun.

well now, I was going to say late teens, but when it came to the front seat, it was the first one to yell shot gun, so the other two would yell shot gun for the ride back. mine just did not fight to much :D they just had there own rules on how things went, and they stuck with them. they all new the car did not go any where as long as there was bickering. I started that when they were very young. any time they would fight, I would pull over. so they learned very young not to fight in the car. God bless. Penny

Mine are 24 and 21 and when they were home for Christmas(one from college and the other from grad school), it picked up where it left off in 2005 when the oldest went to college..arguing slamming doors--"Get out of my room.." etc.
So, I do not thinke they ever grow up.
