i hear and feel your pain. when my huby decides he wants to "clean" the area of my sewing room (sewing and computer share a loft) i tell him that i will join his idea and clean his workshop! he usually stops with just straightening the desk top in front of the computer. my side of the loft is a mess, but my mess.

Be THANKFUL he's moving everything out of the room before removing the popcorn from the ceiling. I've removed it from EVERY room in my house (including a 25x25 room!) and that is one messy job! You don't want that stuff in your fabric or machines.
Congrats on getting the new room!!

:D ROFLOL I can laugh because my DH found ALL of my little secret treasures also a few years back. We had to renovate to have room for the LA. Therefore he was there when I HAD to move the piecing, sewing stuff to the other end of the room. :D I agreed to do this if he kept his mouth shut and jaws off of the floor. ;) Since then, I discovered 2 guns that I did not know he had. :D :D :D It will be fine & you will REALLY enjoy your new room! Hang on and recover.

Just tell him its not yours --Your just holding on to it for a friend  Hey my son thought it would work But I don't think your hubby will be surprised by all your goodies It sounds like he's been in there if he noticed the popcorn on the ceiling. Now I'm curious --is the popcorn real popcorn or the texture of your ceiling :) If its real popcorn it'll go with the Orange Faygo on mine

ahhhhh..... I love your post....but you must admit.... this is a sweet (and not so easy on him) gesture.
It may take a while to get things organized like you want them.... but at least it will be clean and fresh!!
Hope you are able to get the rest you need. ;-)
