ok, I wasn't going to post, just lurk before going back to studying, but then I saw Bitsy.
How cute and what a face! From my days working an animal shelter, I would have 'labeled' her beagle and Jack Russell Terrier.
Please get her spayed soon. Be sure her milk is completely dried up. You don't want excess bleeding during surgery. Also, if I may, her nails need a good trim every couple of weeks. If she won't tolerate you doing it, please pay to have your vet do it. I saw too many hounds uncared for and their nails were atrocious.
She is definitely a keeper. Give her a biscuit, scratch behind the ears and a hug from me.
Thanks again to all who adopt from a shelter.
PS - keep the cat. Bitsy and the cat are already buddies. Hubby won't mind.

Oh what a cutie pie! I'd agree with the beagle/dachsie cross.

She has surely fallen on her feet ending up with you Mousie! :D

I ask our oldest DD to go up to our place and feed and water our cats (indoor) and the new "shed kitty" as she had been calling her, while we were in NY Hero the dog has been boarded). I spoke with her today and she said she had taken our DGS (10 yrs old) up along with her and he said that he will go up every day now to see them! :D

    Aren't grandkids just the best?

All of our pets have been rescue animals or stays, dumped off. They seem to love you extra much to repay you for saving them.
grandkids are the best! for sure!
I think your right, about them loving you extra. I just step onto back porch, and I have a whole menagerie, wagging and meowing for MY attention. They love me! and I love them, right back

I just noticed that she has a curl to her tail...is that common to beagle's too?

She definitely is a good doggie, and in less than a week, has brought tons of love to a somewhat lonely kitty cat, (Ginger), me, and, brought her little kitty friend, to a new home too.
Now BC needs to come around from the front porch and join the party.
I think he thinks, they are all to frisky for him.
He is very loving, as long as you sit and pet him, but seems to look at the others like: what are you all so happy about?

Maybe, Jack Russel, is where the curl of the tail comes from?
I think the milk is dried up. I have a nail trimmer for dogs. Wonder if she'll be still, probably if I take her in my lap.
yup, going to get some doggy biscuits, tomorrow.
The cat is staying. She's so little, I don't think hubby is paying a mind, as long as they don't bother him
