I only buy cold press........ and I only buy if it's from Italy. I don't drink, I don't smoke and.............don't eat anything that had a mother (vegetarian) sewwwww I figure I am way ahead of the game. And.....I only drink spring water and rarely drink unsweetened tea........ have never tasted coffee in my life and don't need stimulates to get myself going. Never use artificial sweetners, haven't been to a doctor in over 30 years. Prior to that ...I've been down the cancer trail twice. Haven't had a cold in over 25 years and... NEVER but NEVER take any type of meds of any sort. I'm super lucky if I get 3 hours sleep in a 24 hour period...

But hey........gotta die from something if I live long enough. Sewwwwww I don't waste much time worrying about the woes of this world and it's scare tactics.......I just put pure old common sense to work and anything that I eat ... I do so in moderation. WELLLLL unless it's popcorn. :) Now that's the real killer!!!!! Could eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner..... I attribute my decent health to........ garlic & cp olive oil and honey.

BTW........youngest female to die in my family was 97 3/4 y.o and the oldest 107 1/2 SEW if all goes well I have a long while to hang out. :) :) :)

Every other day someone comes out with a "study" that says something is bad for us. Quite personally, I believe the "studies" are bad for us!!!! One I heard recently said they'd studied 87 people.....excuse me??? 87 people is NOT even on the charts for comparing to the whole U.S.!!!!!! What has happened, and not getting political here, but the majority of these groups that do the studies have been given $$$$ from the Federal Government....so they have to come up with results.............whether they're right or wrong....

It wasn't long ago they said using cast iron skillets was bad for a person. Well, my grandmother died at 88 and she used cast iron all her life.....OH, and she didn't even eat a carrot until she was 18.........so --- our time up is our time up. I don't want to live longer than that!!!!!!

I agree with everything in moderation. I too am tired of all the so called scientific studies done lately, only to have them say things like one time real butter is better for you, then the next thing you hear is margarine is better for you. Diet pop is better than regular, then the next thing they say is just the opposite. I personally am going to live my life to the fullest every day and I am going to eat and drink what I like but do it with common sense. That's just my two cents on the subject.

Wow! I don't spend much time worrying about this stuff. Maybe I should but I doubt I will.

I really do think diet coke is much worse for people than regular.[/quote]

I agree with you there, it has Aspartame in it. This is a drug that started out being made for Ulcers I think it was. I've learned that it will dispose of some of those ants in my back yard. And I think I've mentioned that my sister's liver problems stopped when she went off Aspartame totally. But was furious when her liver specialist agreed and casually remarked that it had been implicated in Autistic births, MS and a lot of other diseases. She was mad because as an expert, he should have cautioned her about things like that.
So many people are now avoiding Aspartame that they are changing the name to Amino Sweet. And High Fructose Corn Syrup is changing its name to plain Corn Syrup, because of the same reason.
I think the only real and true sweeteners now on the market are the oldest one, honey, plain sugar, maple syrup (if you're sure it hasn't been adulterated, and Stevia. NOT Truvia, which is said to contain only a part of the Stevia plant, plus other things.

Me too! I use them on my chapped hands too as I'm alergic to most hand creams and lotions. I use canola margerine too.
