I don't know if this news item made it to other parts of the world but it illustrates how going south doesn't always save you. Sad story, really. A couple in their 70's, from Sunapee, NH, traveled to South Carolina in their RV to avoid the messiest winter months. Unfortunately, a new pilot, practicing touch 'n go landings at a nearby airport, crashed into this couple's RV, killing the wife and injuring the husband.

The ironic part of this story is the pilot is also from New England! I don't know if this is one of those cases of "when your time is up, it's up" or what. Prayers to both of the families.

Personally, I don't know these people but the story struck a chord. Horrible for the families.
