Just back from a CFR retreat. I volunteer for Casting For Recovery, a grass roots non-profit organization offering fly fishing retreats to women who have had breast cancer.

Had a wonderful turnout of some very wonderful, brave ladies. Had a weekend of relaxation, pampering, gifts and of course, fly fishing. Only one rainbow was caught, a nice 16 incher, but I think all had a marvelous time. At least I know this volunteer did!

If you know of any breast cancer survivors who you think might be interested in this sort of thing, it is free to the participant, steer them to
www.castingforrecovery.org. There are many retreats around the country, and it doesn't have to be in your state, just the retreat closest to you. We are constantly looking for participants!

Here is one of our volunteers helping a new fly caster learn the art.

Well done for helping out with such a worthwhile project. I know the same thing happens in the UK, but I am not sure whether it has reached Ireland yet.
