his wife was a hoarder. She kept it in 18 gallon buckets, in the house. When I say truck loads, I mean like the size of a full size chevy truck, NOT semi truck size lol. If I do this it would not be sight unseen lol. I would want to go see it in person. I'm thinking of calling him and asking if I could just do one load. He wants to sell it because he wants to move to texas, closer to his family, since there isn't a reason to stay around heresince his wife died.

My only concern would be bugs. I would inspect it well and make sure that it was washed prior to bringing in the house.

My DH has always teased me about being paranoid about things like that until he saw how our tenant left our house. The exterminator said that it's one of the worst infestations he's seen but there is some poetic justice in that there is no way he could have moved and not taken some of the little crawlies with him.

I would not be overly worried that the fabric was stolen. I think my stash could take multiple pickup trucks to move it.

Wow..I would buy that. First question would be is it all cotton and is it full bolts? Does he know the yardage. You could make a nice profit off of it..and what you keep is free! I would wonder also if it is stolen. . . LOL..who in their right mind would steal a truck load of fabrc. LOL>

I would buy it. Make him a much lower offer. He might take it. Probably just wants to get rid of it. Of course check it out first for smells , damage etc. You could sell on ebay and recover your money many times over. Donate or make charity quilts out of what doesn't sell.
