I agree with Dunster---I stopped watching 'Kevin Can Wait' for same reason.

I understand characters move on but I don't like them to just disappear, like we wouldn't notice! Work it in the story...

    Same at our house.

I am a life long Doctor Who fan, the show that brings replacing main characters to a professional level!!!!! lol lol lol

But I too can't stand the blonde on NCIS, even if she is suppose to be from Oklahoma. Now they have the blonde, the new man and woman and the English man, so many to keep up with!

One of my favorite shows is "NEW TRICKS" on PBS. They did a good thing when the main character (who was a Captain) said that she would only do the show for ten seasons, they gave her a new job in a new country. Her replacement character had very similar looks and personality. When the new Captain came in, even though it was someone new to the show, it seemed that she fit right in. I thought they did a good job replacing the character and the show goes on.

NCIS, on the other hand, has put in too many new characters and they just don't all jive together. Because of this you have to wait and see if you can get used to the way they write the show around them. I also agree that the blonde was way too different and doesn't quite fit in. But, then some of the other new characters are doing better and some are doing worse than the blonde. It will be a BIG change without Abbey in the show. As characters go, she makes the character come to life, and I think she will be a hard act to follow and wonder if they will lose a lot of viewers because of it. Only time will tell.

I missed a few NCIS shows & really miss Ducky & will definitely miss Abbey. I like New Tricks also & from what I heard the crew gets along offscreen as well as on it.
