Default Check your bank statement for new charges

Check your bank statements to see if new charges for formerly "free" services are being added to your accounts.

I have closed two bank accounts in the last month because of fees. I won't pay any fees for normal bank account maintenance. There are always other options.

PLUS, I want to get more than .01% interest on my savings.

Default Check your bank statements to see if new charges have been added or will be added

Some banks are now adding fees for services that used to be "free."

Read your statements and everything that comes from your financial institutions carefully.

Many of them are adding service charges and fees that can add up to a lot over a year's time.

Please forgive the double posting of the topic - I looked for the topic in "my profile" over three hours after I posted the first one and I didn't see it then.

We went to a credit union, no fees like a bank has. All the fees were eating up our money.

Wow .. I guess we had better start looking at the statements to see if they are indeed doing such- maybe we will end up pulling all the funds and putting them into our credit union .. hmmmm
