About a month ago I had let him and his Papillon sister out middle of the morning, I was maybe 8' away kinda day dreaming when I looked up and saw a fox transfixed on the Chihuahua. Luckily I was able to grab him before the quietly skulking fox got to him. I'm happy all turned out well for your little guys. You need to post pictures, I'll bet they are adorable.
    The boys today.

I don't think so. I can't properly care for 6 dogs, an 11 year old, DH, the house and quilt. I am totally amazed at how much comes out of three tiny bodies.

ROTFL about the "outs" as we call them here. A friend in CA was away and had our local pet sitter coming once a day and me once a day for her 17 y.o. Pomeranian. I called the petsitter to make sure she had been there as there was an amazing amount of poops for a 4 lb dog. She and I were cracking up talking about it. Purely amazing :-)

They are doing good except for being afraid of outside. Cisco's little ribs are tender up by his front legs. I picked him up wrong and he cried out this evening- I felt so bad. Otherwise he doesn't complain or even act like he's in pain. He plays with his brothers and romps around. I think Pedro is more shook up than he is.

is there any possibility of putting up a fence to section off a piece of yard for the 'family'? with you there to guard against hawks and the fence to protect against coyotes and foxes, wouldn't the family would be safe?

even after some of the pups are gone, mom and dad still need to be protected.
