Christmas Idea Crazy or Sane?
#11
Those pillows are great! We sent 50 over to the Mideast for my son and his unit. My son has one someone made and sent him in 2005 when he was in Iraq. He loves it so much, he took it with him on this deployment. When I asked him what they needed - he said all the guys wanted to know where they could buy those pillows but he knew it was probably too much work. A friend helped me, we bought the fabric and sewed them up and had 4H kids and the Family Support Group stuff them. Away they went and they were thrilled! It's also what I use - I don't like the regular big pillows. Yours are beautiful!!

A few Christmases ago, I made a lot of these dog bone neck pillows. My husband stuffed them for me. I passed them out to all the men. they loved them. (I had another gift for the ladies). It is a good design and so easy.
They will love your poem.

Those are so neet. If they ever fly or ride a long way, they will surely thank you a hundred times over. I'm sure even in the deer blind their necks get achey. If they don't like them just send me a couple. And I love your poem.

Glad I am not the only one who has tagged them with the "dog bone" name!

I tried to make them to show their interests, favorite football team, farm scene, John Deere tractor, etc. Not all are that way but at least part of them are. Used up some of my stash. Daughters and daughter-in-laws will get framed cross stitch initial pictures (four of these) and grand daughters and wives of gandsons wil get pot holders. Great grandkids will get books. I made bears for them last year.

I think you came up with a fabulous idea and a very cute poem to boot! I bet everyone will use them until they are thread barren, something everyone can use but would probably never get for themselves. Merry Christmas.
