    My grandmother made these for my brother and 2 sisters and I and for all her grandchildren when they were born. Mine is 70 years old and it still hangs on the fireplace every year. All of my 5 kids also hang theirs every year.
    It is a wonderful tradition.

    Thanks everyone. I have to agree bradley is adorable!! LOL!! his daddy is like our 3rd son so he's more like a grandson to us. Hoping to fly down to florida in Jan to meet the little guy in person.

    heres a picture of my fireplace filled with other stockings I've made. My 2 sons were made in the 70's. Love making them for all new family members.

    What a cute stocking. It looks like it's all done by hand. I would love to know what pattern you followed.

    The picture is great - he will cherish it when he gets older and has his own children....

    Yes its completely handmade. It was a kit I found on ebay.
