    I will be, good thing the truck has heat, we wouldn't go in but hammy is in Edmonton and I am not heading back in until Wed and I need some of the stuff for Tues. so closet here I come,

    It is not the well, but the pipes running into and out of the pump, and the pump itself that freezes. It all depends on how far down your pipes are buried, how well insulated your pump house is...and in some cases how long the bitter cold lasts, as the freeze line will lower with each day underground.
    The few dollars we have spent on running a heat lamp over the years are a drop in the bucket compared to having to pay a plumber to come out and do repairs or replace a pump.
    The same with the heat wraps for your pipes...you only plug them in when the temps drop to a certain point.

    We had temps in the 40s today, but it is supposed to go below freezing on Tuesday. We have had some cold, but nothing below freezing here yet! And just flurries so far. But we have had some really strong wind, and last night we had a thunder and lightening storm!

    Holy Cow!!! Thunder and Lightening?? Is that normal for you this time of year? I noticed DS is getting some cold weather in KY
