We were very busy today doing the cleaning and tidying before I start decorating for Christmas. (Hubby helps clean but he leaves the decorating to me!) Paul went to put some laundry in the machine including a very pretty, new red shirt of mine that has an attached white insert.(It had never been washed) and I was sure the white would be pink after the wash was done! All the laundry was red items except for this little bit of white AND a white sock that got in there by mistake. I caught him just as the washing machine was filled with really warm water... and thought "OH NO!" I remembered the color catchers that I bought and threw one in and hoped for the best.

HAPPY to say they work and my top is perfect as was the sock!!

I washed a piece of black fabric with white roses with a color catcher. It came out like it went in. I needed more and forgot the color catcher. The roses were a pale gray. A third washing with a CC helped a lot, but it doesn't have the definition in the flowers the first piece has. Live and learn.

I wish JoAnn's still sold the reusable one. It worked well, too.

They really are an amazing thing. I used them yesterday when I was washing a rag quilt that I did that had dark browns, sage greens, and bright aquas. The aquas came out beautiful, and the color catchers came out dark, so I know that they were doing their job.

Yup it worked for me too. I just threw in one new red item and oh boy. I forgot it was there. I just happened to throw in a color catcher and when the laundry came out it was perfect and the color catcher was a very dark reddish rose color. Worth the money.
