    The pole "tepees" are for pole beans...Kentucky wonder... or what we called "cornfield beans" when I was growning up. They are picked for half-shelled and mature beans for canning in the fall. Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments...

    And now you know the rest of the story...why I said our homestead is our favorite eating place of all. Stop by when coming into this area. lol!! We let you weigh coming in and going out!!

    I love your gardens. What a great idea to do raise beds out of old truck tires. You do have your hands full but how rewarding it gets in the end.

    I love your garden! Since moving here from Ohio & Michigan I haven't had a garden and really miss it. This looks like a great idea.
