Grandpa loved gooseberries and about once a year my Mother would make a pie - sooo delicious!

Do you think there is any side effacts of using the old tires? We are moving to Missouri and we do not have much dirt on top of the rock. This looks like a good way, will last longer than wood beds.

really like the idea of reusing tires, your garden is beautiful and by the way, I pulled out some weeds along the way.

The tire side rim is cut off with a reciprocating saw, but beware of the steel threads in the tire...do not get cut on those. Wear leather gloves to protect your hands and arms. The tires can be painted to look more attractive, any color you would like...made as pyamids for different levels..or into fountains.

Thanks for the invitation and I think it is a very clever Idea and looks very neat from a distance.

Big tractor tires are sold for feed bunks for cattle, but big truck tires are usually given away by tire dealers, especially when you offer back some fresh vegetables. No efffects from the rubber. Secret is in the dirt mixture of true composted dirt, and two other ingredients similar to a nursery soil. The tires can be cut and stretched into a straight row also.

Very inventive and productive garden. Is that clematis called Bower Bells? Something like that, I think. Very pretty.

I was wondering if your clematis was a Betty Corning?

Sorry, I do not remember the name. I have noticed that flowers are like the quilt patterns...as they change locations, they change names...same thing...called by a different name. I think you have the right to call it what you want too. What is a flower in one state may be a weed in another.
