The toolbar that goes across the top above the tabs (that says "file, edit, etc)- I don't know what happened, but I've poked around everywhere I can think of and I can't figure out what to do to get it back. I NEED to print off an invoice and I can't do it ("print" was under "file") And copying and pasting to my Printmaster isn't working either - it changes the format.

    Can anyone help?

Click "tools" -- it should be over on the right side
    Click "toolbars"
    Click "menu bar"

It should pop right back up there.

If you right click on the toolbar area, it should have a list of available toolbars, choose the menu bar.

It's possibly you hit F11, which changes your screen format to full screen and removes your menu bar... click it again and see if that fixes it.

If you can't figure out how to get it back, try hitting alt then f. Alt should pull your menu bar up whether it's showing or not, and the letter f (not one of the f__ keys) will select the File menu. This will let you access it, even if you can't see it all the time.

    Good luck!

You may need to go into the Control panel on your computer and see if you can find where to adjust it. Do you have a lap top or desk top computer?
Another thing to try is to turn your computer off, even unplug it and restart it. That may bring it all back up.
    Other than that I'm stumped.

Oh this is insane. It's not the F11, I do have tabs and a most visited bar showing - I tried the Alt f and it seemed to show a drop box that may have had print on it -- but within a millisecond another box (save as) pops on top of it, so I can't get to it.

My cat loves to sit on my lap & step on my keyboard.... I wonder if O'Malley stepped on something....

I appreciate your help so much! I will try everything again, then I may unplug for a bit.

I did even check the control panel, but I didn't see anything that seemed to make any difference....

Oh now this is really weird - I tried doing Alt and f at the same time and then the bar did appear!!!! But as soon as I clicked on something else (like to highlight/select something to print) it disappeared again - do I have a computer demon??

I was, at least, able to print off my invoice - thank you so much for your help!!!

If anyone can tell me how to make that bar STAY now, I'd be thrilled.

Alt will give you access to the bar, but only access, it's not 'actually' there. However, as it gives you access to the entire bar, maybe you can check all your settings there and figure out what happened?

When you hit alt, it brings up the bar and underlines a letter for each menu... f for file, e for edit, v for view.

While it's not there now... at least you can get to it!

Again, good luck! I know how irritating it can be to not be able to get a computer (that's supposed to be intuitive to use!) to cooperate sometimes!
